Rookie operative Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds, left) tries to outwit legendary spy Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) in the action-thriller, “Safe House.”
Lets say you’re a CIA agent and your job is to look over government safe houses. One day you get a call that the worlds most dangerous rogue agent is coming to your location to be interrogated. During the interrogation men come in shooting up the place what do you?
Yea I didn’t have an answer but this is what Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) has to go through as he is force to run around Capes Town South Africa in order to keep him and the rouge agent Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) this Bourne identity style type of picture will have watching ever moment of this action pack thriller.
Although this movie is loaded with acting and two great actors its still isn’t a ‘got to see’ movie the plot was good but the movie was predictable.
As always Denzel Washington did a great job in turning an ok movie into a good movie I feel Ryan Reynolds held his own in the film. Being that I’m a big Denzel fan I still see that this wasn’t his best but it also wasn’t his worst.
Still I feel if you’ve seen one government movie you’ve seen them all. And in this case it will be like the other ones.
All in all safe house is a pretty go movie I would advise people to go see for action alone but if your looking for a one in a kind thriller Safe House isn’t it... I give this move three deadly spies out of four.
