Dr. Magner provided a very succinct introduction to Psychology. He did not try to overload the course with content and taught in a way that was very much intended to help students learn and remember. It was a good balance of covering most of the topics in the course textbook in a way that was not too shallow or too deep, in a way to provide a basis for further study in psychology or enough general knowledge to be useful for those not pursuing harder classes.
He may be intelligent, but he can't teach. He lets youtube and nbc specials do the teaching for him. Text material is not covered in class, although the exams are completely text related. simple grade, but you won't learn a thing and I want to become a child psychologist :(
Dr. Magner is a very great instructor. He kept the class fascinating, and always had a smile on his face. He was very pleasant and I learned a lot from him. If you take great notes and pay attention, you will pass the exams. Highly recommend.
He was outstanding. Lets you review exams before taking them, then gives you a mixed up one.
