August 28 was the women’s volleyball team’s season opener. Our Stormers are a small group of freshmen with varying levels of experience, but they are all dedicated and ambitious.

The women showed great teamwork as they battled against Joliet Junior College Wolves. 

Unfortunately, the women suffered their first loss at the hands of the Wolves. Their Head Coach Brian Misslich felt that it has been a rough start but with hard work and dedication he feels that they  will have a fun and exciting season. 

At the second game, on September 4, the women entered the gym with confidence and enthusiasm. They competed against the Wolf Pack from Madison College. 

The-three game series was fast paced and our Stormers fought hard against a team with twice the number of players. 

With only seven women available to play they valiantly  battled but ultimately lost against the Joliet Wolf Pack. The Stormers are building toward a cohesive team, ready to take on any opponent. 

The next home game is at Alverno College on 43rd and Morgan on September 18 at 7 p.m. against the UW_Waukesha Cougars. Come out and support your team.
