The Welcome Back Boat Cruise “Good Ship Lollipop” set sail on Saturday, September 15, for a two-hour cruise on Lake Michigan. Students were met on the dock by members of MATC Student Government and Office of Student Life, sponsors of the cruise, who dressed in Willy Wonka attire and handed out candy treats. Once aboard students were treated to great food, music, camaraderie and an amazing view of the City of Milwaukee.
The water was calm and the air was chilled as they cruised around Lake Michigan. Students were excited to be a part of the boating community. Out on the upper deck, students waved at fellow sea goers as well as people on shore. On the lower deck they were dancing and trying all the delicious snacks. Toward the end of the trip students were given a final treat-a raffle for Campus Cash ranging from $5-$20. The Designated Driver Program made sure everyone made it home safely.
