Manufacturing Engineer Tech - Entry Level 1st Shift, 6am-3:30pm $55,000-65,000 MAJOR DUTIES: Provide support of mfg. engineering to assist in expediting the development or improvement of mfg. processes and tooling. Responsible for assigned areas of manufacturing including; Programming nest for punching & CNC machine centers, tooling, written instructions and all process documentation. Work with Product Engineering and shop personnel to develop efficient methods for producing product. Design or specify test equipment as assigned. Assist with keeping equipment operational, coordinating with maintenance, operators, and production supervision. Conduct time studies as required. Compliance with government regulations. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors, and soliciting observations from operators. Actively seek out process and product improvements to make a positive impact on safety, quality, schedule, and cost. Make recommendations to your manager. Plant and department layout changes to improve efficiency. EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES: Associates Degree in Pre- Engineering preferred. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES: Manufacturing or Electrical Experience 1-5 years experience in the lighting industry
