We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Entry Level Water/Wastewater treatment design engineer in Milwaukee, to support our local team and beyond.As a key member of our Milwaukee team, you ll have the chance to perform a variety of municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Working with other members of our team, you'll work on infrastructure projects evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client s challenges and planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. As part of our team, you will also have the opportunity to work on a broad range of topics that the water industry holds, including wastewater treatment, biosolids management, energy studies, drinking water treatment, and odor control. You ll also play a role in improving the resiliency of our clients assets.Join us and we will assist in continuing the development of your skills and exploring all that you can do across our global company, with opportunities to share your knowledge along the way.**Here s What You ll Need:**+ Bachelor s Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering+ A GPA of at least 3.0+ Less than 2 years of previous industry experience+ Prior experience related to the water resources industry, with emphasis on water and wastewater treatment+ Strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, data analysis & technical problem solving skills+ Top notch organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.+ Residency in the Milwaukee area+ As a hybrid employee (e.g., flexibility to perform work remotely or from the Milwaukee office space), a willingness and method of transportation to work from the office as needed to deliver project work, collaborate with project teams, and positively contribute to the office environmentIdeally, you ll also have:+ Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and pdf editors (BlueBeam preferred)+ Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within six months+ Career aspirations that might include:- Education advancement opportunities (e.g., coursework, training) to further industry knowledge- Graduate Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering with emphasis on water resources- Professional Engineer (PE) licensureJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
