In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.Badger Meter is hiring a Facilities Engineering Intern. The Facilities Engineering Intern is responsible for performing Auto CAD layouts for the entire Milwaukee facility, and other locations as required. This involves going onto the plant floor taking measurements and translating them into Auto CAD layouts. It also involves communicating cross-functionally with teams including the Manufacturing engineering and Maintenance to determine the best layout scenarios. Additional duties involve organizing the Facilities Auto CAD Library. The Facilities Engineering Intern will assist in completion of full project life cycle; creating a budget, drafting project proposal, requesting purchase orders.Essential Job Duties:* Performing updates to Facilities infrastructure, machine, and equipment layouts in Auto CAD* Perform reconciliation between the electronic Auto CAD/PDF scanned version with the archived paper copies* Perform layouts for proposed building/equipment changes* Collect utility information (water, sanitary flows, etc.) on a weekly basis* Perform Reconciliation of HVAC map and HVAC Detailed information listing* Assist with testing and record keeping of Prototype Facilities equipment (Air Ozone, Water Ozone, Aeration)* Assist with Work Order Creation related to water and Air audits around the facility* Ability to work independently with some supervision* Additional projects and assignments as necessaryQualifications:* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field* Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products* Basic understanding of Auto CADAn Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
