MPE-Inc. (Midwest Products and Engineering Inc.) is currently looking to add an HR Intern to join our team. For over 40 years MPE- Inc. has been the leader in developing and manufacturing medical equipment. We are the largest custom medical cart manufacturer in the U.S. Our products and services have kept pace with the rapidly changing technologies and industry needs. Our success is indicated by the rapid growth and stability at our one location in Northwest Milwaukee serving the ever growing medical industry. To be successful as an HR Intern, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in labor legislation to determine how company HR policies may be affected. Ultimately, an outstanding HR Intern should be detail-oriented and able to demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills. + Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details. + Screening potential employees' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies. + Passively source candidates for open positions. + Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates. + Assisting the HR staff in gathering market salary information. + Assisting in the planning of company events. + Coordinating new hire orientations. + Assisting in development of HR related systems and processes. + Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters. + Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Requirements + Studying toward a degree in Human Resource Management or related field. + Proven experience working in an office environment. + Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws. + Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous. + Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. + The ability to work as part of a team. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent administrative and organizational skills. + Effective communication skills. + Detail-oriented Initial length of this internship is 6 months. Schedule is 20-40 hours a week can be flexible based on school schedule. + No work sponsorship is available for this position. + No relocation is offered for this position. + To learn more visit:
