In addition to your projects, you will be given the opportunity to participate in our robust Intern program focused on Badger Meter Culture, professional development, community outreach and a final capstone project.Badger Meter is hiring a Research and Development Intern. The Research and Development Intern will assist the Research and Development team in experimentation that supports the development and creation of new products. The Research and Development intern will use techniques that may include physical and computer aided methods of evaluating electronics performance, hydraulic phenomena, materials, flow control, and radio frequency (RF) communication. The Research and Development intern may also evaluate competitive products performance and manufacturing techniques.Essential Job Duties:* Work with a cross functional team to solve technical problems* Development of experimental designs* Execution of designed experiments* Data analysis and reporting of experimental findings* Presenting design recommendations or recommending further research steps* Competitive market research and product evaluation* Experience or willingness to learn fluid mechanicsQualifications:* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics or related field* Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft productsAn Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
