Our company is looking for a reliable and goal-driven individual interested in Human Resources!What is ICM Corporation? ()We are a growing company which specializes in e-commerce/catalog marketing, distribution, and manufacturing with a total of eight different divisions (or companies). We have been in business for over two decades and are working to continually grow that number! ICM Corp. is based in Milwaukee and is only a 20 minute drive from UW-Milwaukee, or, 12 minutes from Miller Park!This HR Intern job entails providing assistance with the administration of day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties, ensuring the efficient delivery of salary payments, salary adjustments, recruitment processes, benefits administration, and the accuracy of employee data records. The HR Intern works closely with the human resources department, finance department and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve the organizational goals and objectives.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Providing assistance in hiring process activities such as posting jobs on job board or website, reviewing applications and maintaining a spreadsheet on tracking an applicantProviding general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines, and taking down minutes as neededEstablishing, maintaining and controlling personnel, employees, recruitment relations records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization chartsManaging sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, employee relations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and filesResponding to and putting through various queries from managers and employees, and from other agencies or departmentsExercising individual judgment while dealing with potential or real troubles on own initiative and bringing them to manager's attentionInterpreting, assisting and advising employees and managers regarding leave management and benefit administration, and HR procedures and policiesConducting research, gathering data and statistical reports, and maintaining statistical informationCoordinating in volunteer and staff training events or programs and recommending resources, as neededKeeping up current issues and matters in the organization related to HR departmentAdministering and monitoring new hire orientation programsHandling issues and inquires in unavailability of HR ManagerAdministering background checksMaintaining employee file records up-to-date by handling changes in employee status in timely mannerEnsuring effective reception or proper approvals on forms and enter changes in the systemPreparing paperwork needed to create new employee profile and to place new employee on payrollHelping in maintenance of employee directory and company organization chartsProviding assistance in monitoring employee performance appraisal processInteracting with and supplying information to employees, department heads, and job applicantsSkills and Qualifications:Pursuing a degree in Human Resources (Sophomore status ideal)Effective problem-solving skillsKnowledge of recruitment processCompetent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well presented reportsAble to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheetsShould be an effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing skillsShould be committed to diversity and equality cultureAbility to operate under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookProficient with basic budget management and calculations Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targetsBenefits:Company sponsored 401KOn-the-job training providedCross-trainingPersonal & professional growth encouragedFlexible work schedulesWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment policies and decisions on employment and promotion are based on merit, qualifications, performance, and business needs.
