What you will doThe primary objective of the Clarios Global Indirect Procurement Intern will be to support various projects and initiatives within the Global Indirect Procurement team. You will be responsible and accountable to complete 4 separate projects, all designed to provide you the hand's on experience that is critical to a well-rounded education in the field of Procurement/Supply Chain. After completion of your summer internship, you will have gained the experience, knowledge, clarity, transparency, and confirmation that this field is the right one for you. You will also have developed key contacts and nurtured a network of resources that could potentially serve you in your future career.How you will do itLead, manage and complete 4 key projects:3rd party contract data governance - Ensure accurate 3rd party supplier contract data in Zycus tool through analysis, collaboration and discussion with contract owners, workstream partners and in some cases, the 3rd party suppliers. eAuction sourcing support - Ensure minimum of 3 eAuction events successfully conducted and executed by working with internal cross-functional stakeholders to gather information/data, interface with supply base; Under the direction of the Procurement manager. Global Procurement Sharepoint page - Ensure Procurement page accurately reflects global and regional procurement organizations, processes, system links and procurement policies. 3rd party contract negotiations - Under the direction and mentoring/guidance of the procurement category manager, the intern will be able to experience and learn how to negotiate material or service contracts with 3rd party suppliers.Duration: Summer 2021 (June 2 - August 27). Up to 32 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available, dependent upon successful completion of projects, objectives and targets.What we look forRequired Qualifications:Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or universityPursuing an undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or Pre-LawExcellent communication & organizational skillsProficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPointHigh attention to detailSelf-motivated and able to articulate when hitting a roadblock in progressTime management skillsAbility to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasksAble to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projectsMinimum Junior status in Fall 2021U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.Available to work up to 32 hours per week in the summerAvailable during normal daytime office hours, between 7am-6pm CSTPreferred Qualifications: Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independentlyAble to self-govern and stay on task and deliver on milestone timelineDemonstrated team project and deliverablesDemonstrated project management, and deliverables, team playerAssertive, ambitious, able to make decisionsStrong communication skills (verbal and written) preferredDemonstrated problem solving skills requiredWorking Arrangements:This internship is remote for summer 2021Interns must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions, with adequate internet accessBe able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods such as video call, phone call, email and instant messengerWillingness to work independently and with a teamWillingness to take direction from direct manager and senior members of staffClarios Intern Program:During your assignment with Clarios, you may have a variety of developmental opportunities in addition to your work assignments, such as: roundtable discussions with senior leaders, skill-building workshops, networking events, and community activities.
