LPi has an exciting Software Development Intern opportunity for a passionate individual to join our team. If you are looking for a fast-paced environment where you can drive innovation, apply technology solutions to solve real world challenges, and provide visible benefit to end-users, this is your opportunity.

The Software Development Intern will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week. We can be flexible with schedules within the core business hours of 8:00am 5:00pm. This will be remote until covid restrictions are lifted.

What You Will Do

  • Work collaboratively in a fully agile project team to plan sprints, expand stories into tasks, work on removing impediments, and execute at top velocity while focusing on rapid and incremental delivery of high quality code
  • Assist business teams by performing data analyses and creating reports
  • Refine user stories outlined by the product owner
  • Actively research solutions for developing new features, enhancements, and refactoring existing functionality
  • Develop features and enhancements to meet acceptance criteria defined by the user stories.
  • Participate in technical design and code reviews
  • Assist Quality Assurance in the functional testing of the application
  • Candidate Requirements

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Management Information Systems and possess a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must have completed introductory programming courses.
    • This is an entry-level position; previous experience is not required.
    • Write back end business logic using an object oriented programming language
    • Use a SQL based language to query and manipulate data
    • Use HTML5 and CSS to design front end components
    • Use JavaScript to define front end logic using a modern front end framework
    • Consume external REST based web services
