What We're Looking For Be a part of the urban planning group where you will help plan and design innovative transportation projects for the future. Assist with a wide range of transportation projects across the country including transit, rail, and highway. Solve unique problems with creative solutions. Learn new professional skills. Work in an office rated as one of the 'Best Places to Work' in 2020 by the Milwaukee Business Journal..Primary Focus Will Include:+ Works from designs and plans of others, compile data, perform basic design and technical computations.+ Assists with analysis and provides comprehensive review of the data+ Researches and collects raw data from Census Bureau and other environmental data sources and organizes in a form ready for analysis+ Assists in preparation of technical memos, transportation plans and studies+ Learn and assist in the development of environmental documents+ Assists in production of concepts, maps and reports+ Assists in the development of presentation material, reports or report layout+ Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications+ Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or related fieldPreferred Qualifications and Skills:+ Completion of one year of Master's program by start date (Urban/regional planning or related field)+ Skills: ArcGIS Pro, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT+ Open: Flexible, adapts, and seeks input, new ideas, and learning. Develops creative, imaginative solutions+ Personal accountability: can be counted on; accomplishes things in a timely manner and on a consistent basis. Follows through on commitments+ Positive - Constructively looks for ways to meet objectives. Approach begins with the desired outcome as a given.
