Johnson Controls is seeking an enthusiastic Marquette University Law School 1L to work with its in-house legal team for 10 weeks during the summer of 2020. The intern will be based in Milwaukee and will have exposure to various aspects of a global corporate legal environment, including contract review and negotiation, litigation, labor and employment, intellectual property, data privacy, compliance, investigations, and mergers and acquisitions. We are a highly collaborative team, so the intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. This is a paid position.How you will do it:As a member of the Johnson Controls Legal Department, you will work closely with members of the in-house legal team as well as with business professionals across the enterprise and outside counsel. Your responsibilities may include substantive research and writing, negotiation, document review, and risk analysis.What we look forRequired Qualifications:* Candidates must be full-time law students that will complete their first year of law school immediately before the internship.
