Role Summary:The GE Healthcare Edison Engineering Internship Program offers professional development through a challenging internship in a dynamic, fast-paced, medical technology business. Interns work on engineering assignments guided by technical mentors.Essential Responsibilities:Assignments may include:* Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of GE Healthcare products* Designing, testing and/or debugging functions and features of development/test tools* Data analytics* DocumentationQualifications/Requirements:* Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree* Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale)* High self-confidence* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms* Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Computer Engineering or Computer Science areas* Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and in teams* Proven leadership skills and experience* Must be willing to relocate* Able to work for a minimum of 10 weeksU.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications* Must submit application for employment through (or COS if internal) to be considered* Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background* Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesDesired Characteristics:* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering* A prior internship or co-op with software and/or firmware design experience* Proficiency in software languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Shell scripting, C, C++, Matlab, and/or Python* Experience with object-oriented design methodology, and/or algorithm development* Experience with agile principles and methodologies* Experience with Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and/or Artificial Intelligence technologies* Passion for a career in healthcare technologyAbout Us:GE (NYSE:GE) drives the world forward by tackling its biggest challenges.
