## Description**Job Summary: **The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for a variety of small and large-scale projects. These projects include, but are not limited to: investigating and analyzing various service discrepancies, supporting the Supply Chain teams with ad-hoc analysis projects, and process improvement initiatives. The Supply Chain Intern will also have the opportunity to work closely with leadership and Supply Chain team members to manage multiple aspects of our Supply Chain including: program negotiations, supplier onboarding, and data management. This intern position is year-round, accommodating a part-time schedule during the school year and full-time during breaks and summer. This position may also lead to full-time employment upon graduation for the superior performer.**Essential Job Functions Responsibilities:*** Assist with developing and managing supplier relationships, including cost and operations-based negotiations.* Onboard suppliers, including: system setup, contract loading, documentation practices, and ensure successful transition into the Direct Supply portfolio.* Proactively identify and implement process improvement strategies within team.* Actively participate as a resource on project teams and/or programs to support business initiatives and objectives.* Learn Supply Chain best practices and/or tools (e.g., forecasting, importing, distribution, cost modeling, logistics, value stream mapping, total cost of ownership).* Other duties as required by leadership.## Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications:*** Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including a high proficiency in Excel* Ability to work 15-25 hours per week while classes are in session and 40 hours per week during breaks**Additional Preferred Skills:*** Previous Supply Chain experience* Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize* Exemplary written and oral communication* Commitment to timely task completion* Possess poise and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner* Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills* Commitment to a high standard of excellence* Inquisitive and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills* Innovative, effective problem-solving skills** Competencies*** Approachability* Peer Relationships* Customer Focus* Integrity and Trust* Functional/Technical Skills* Priority Setting* Personal Learning* Drive for Results*Schedule:* Full-time*Travel:* No*Primary Location:* WI-Milwaukee*Req ID:* 00C0V
