The Sexual Assualt Awareness Month booth (SAAM) was on display on Tuesday, April 3 on the 3rd floor in the Student Center, Downtown Campus. According to the stats on sexual assault from (SAAM), every two minutes someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. Volunteers at this booth encouraged passerbys to engage in talking about it, and passed out candy. They also handed out information on the statistics of sexual assault in the U.S., knowledge on survivor’s databases, and other related pamphlets. The ribbon color associated with sexual assault is teal. For more on this movement, please visit http://www.nsvrc.org/saam/sexual-assault-awareness-month-home.
