Historic Wisconsin women held panel at Mequon

What started out as a week-long celebration has now grown into the designation of March as Women's History month. In commemoration of International Women's Day, Rose Lee, sociology instructor, organized an event at Mequon Campus entitled "Why we celebrate women and their successes.

Milwaukee Campus offers new shuttle service

The Downtown Milwaukee Campus van escort service, once operated by the Public Safety Department, no longer exists.

However, the new Campus Shuttle Service on the Milwaukee Campus has taken its place. The new list of stops supplies continuous service on approximate 15-minute intervals from the following five Downtown Milwaukee Campus locations:

Investigation into bank robbery continues

Public Safety and Milwaukee police continue to investigate the recent bank robbery at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.

Evidence, including video of the bank robbery, has been sent to the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) for review according to an e-mail sent by Kathleen Hohl, Director, Communications and Events.

Milwaukee, West Allis Campuses locker break-ins update

The following is being provided by Public Safety as an update to the recent locker break-ins that have occurred at the Downtown Milwaukee and West Allis Campuses.

With the use of video surveillance, a suspect was apprehended by the Department of Public Safety and questioned by the Milwaukee Police Department for possible involvement in previous locker break-ins.

Men's basketball team makes it to Region IV Championship

Going into the NJCAA playoffs, the Stormers had just two more teams to beat.

Just the Madison Area Technical College Wolfpack and the Joliet Junior College Wolves stood in their way.

On February 24, at the Region IV Semifinal game the Stormers were victorious over Madison Area Technical College, which had an overall record of 17-13.

Both Men's and Women's basketball teams finish strong.

'Open Mic' show- cases local talent

Science of rescue

In Oak Creek there is a series of tunnels above ground designed to train future firefighters through mock emergencies.

Emergencies include the rescue of those trapped under rubble and, perhaps, rendered immobile due to injury.

Injuries can be caused by falls or cave-ins in the part of an impaired drainage tunnel.
